Gallery 9B stand at the Cosmoscow art fair
Having debuted at the Cosmoscow fair last year with a large-scale photo project by the classics of Russian media art, the Nizhny Novgorod art group PROVMYZA, Gallery 9B is presenting paintings by young artists—Cema Bomse, Evsti Bomse, and Dima Kadyntsev—at its 2025 booth. Using large formats and traditional materials, they create their own artistic universes. The characters and intertwining plots only seem familiar at first glance. Kadyntsev consistently works with recurring images, one of which is the Running Candle, sometimes dissolving into the landscape, sometimes brightly illuminating it. Evsti's canvases unfold several storylines based on current themes and events. Cema's works are characterized by humor and narrative, with characters straddling the line between the base and the sublime, the prosaic and the fantastical, the authentic and the artificial.
