Gallery 9B stand at the young art fair blazar
For the second time, Gallery 9B participated in the fair of young art blazar, which took place from September 12 to 15, 2024, at the site of the Museum of Moscow. This year, the authors of the stand were our regular heroes from the Bomse team - Evsti Bomse and Sema Bomse, Yulia Ivanova, whom the gallery previously represented at the Kontur and 1703 fairs, as well as the artist with whom the gallery began collaborating - Maria Egorova.

This year the concept of the Gallery 9B stand ironically plays on its name. In reality, referring to the house number on Oktyabrskaya Street in Nizhny Novgorod, it becomes a reference to the ninth grade of high school. Here, the atmosphere is familiar to everyone: portraits on the walls, a blackboard and a desk covered in scribbles by careless students, comics that distract even the most diligent excellent students from their lessons. The stand features artists Yulia Ivanova and Maria Egorova and the art group Bomse (Syoma and Evsti), and as in any "class" there are hooligans and good students among them. In the space of Gallery 9B, the line between them is erased: Maria Egorova's painting violates the canons of academic realism, in the infantile works of Yulia Ivanova, signs of everyday life are described with detailed precision, and the duet of Syoma and Evsti, formed on the streets of Nizhny Novgorod, combines marginal subjects and traditional forms of art.
