All these 24 paintings were painted in Nizhny Novgorod from August 27 to September 25, 2021. The project continues the traditions of creative trips of the "SOCIETY OF LOVERS OF PAINTING AND DRAWING", created by me together with Ivan Sotnikov in 2004.
During this time, I tried to explore Nizhny Novgorod, and also visited such settlements as Balakhna, Gorodets, Gorokhovets, Diveevo, Arzamas, Oranki, Frolishchi, Makaryevo, Vorsma, Pavlovo, Bolshoe Boldino, Murom, Bolshoye Murashkino, Gorbatov, Katunki and Purekh.
In addition to working on the painting series presented here, I collected materials for the future book "JOURNEY TO NIZHNIY NOVGOROD AND SURROUNDINGS", a kind of author's guide. Several of the first drawings for this book can also be seen in this exhibition. All works are in the collection of Lyubov Vorobieva (Moscow).
