In August, a new guest lived and worked in 9B Gallery became artist Lyudmila Baronina. Her residence was implemented as part of the regional art residency program with the support of the government of the Nizhny Novgorod region and the ANO Center 800. As part of the residency, a meeting with a story about creativity was held for the general public, as well as a presentation of works created in Nizhny Novgorod.
Lyudmila Baronina was born in 1988, graduated from the Faculty of Easel Graphics of the KGUKI Academy of Arts and Industry and the Krasnodar Institute of Contemporary Art. Works with modern mythology, creating alternative models of societies, spaces and environments. In his graphic series he reproduces the ideas of the new man, the architecture of "reptiles", fairy-tale plots where human vices are the heroes. In her projects, Baronina addresses the theme of "shelter", tries to construct or imagine what alternative paths are possible for a person today, how the laws of modern society can transform and mutate in an alternative economic and social environment.
